Policy Watch: Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) amendments

As you may already have heard, five bills have been introduced in the Michigan Legislature that propose amendments to the Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) and/or the two-credit world language graduation requirement. The bills are specific in whether they want to eliminate the requirement entirely or allow students to substitute other courses for the world language graduation requirement.

We are requesting that you write a letter to your state representative and senator requesting that the two-credit world language graduation requirement be kept intact within the MMC.

Below you will find a link to information to help you with your letter.

We all need to unite in this effort to preserve the two-credit world language requirement. We thank you in advance for taking the time to write a letter.
