German: International Parliamentary Scholarship of the German Bundestag



Here is a great study abroad opportunity for your students:


The German Bundestag collaborates with the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin to run its International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS) program.

This gives well qualified young people with a strong interest in politics from the USA, France, Israel, Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Northern Africa and the Middle East the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of Germany's system of parliamentary government.

Full-time German teaching position at Fairfield Junior Senior High School

Grades 8-12
German I-IV
GAPP partner school: Landschulheim Steinmuehle, Marburg

Reason for opening:  Current teacher will be expanding the German program into one of the district’s elementary schools (newly-created position)

The German program is quite strong and is well-supported by the administration and central office as well as the community.  Fairfield is in a smaller, mostly rural setting, but only 10 minutes from downtown Goshen.  Goshen is a thriving small town with a unique emphasis and offering of the arts.  Goshen College regularly offers world-class concerts – Vienna Boys Choir, Garrison Keillor, Lyle Lovett, Wailin’ Jennies, for example.

***This is a great place to work and live; that’s why I’m not actually leaving!***
