Detailed Job Description

Establish and maintain an active scholarly research agenda, teach graduate seminars and lower to upper-division undergraduate courses, and provide appropriate service to the Department, University community, and professional organizations.

The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at The University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in German, area of expertise open, to begin August 16, 2015. A Ph.D. in German or German Studies in hand by time of appointment and native or near-native fluency required. The successful candidate is committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching at the M.A. level; an interest in Business and / or Technical German is preferred.
