The Robert Goddard French Immersion School in Prince George's County in Maryland has the largest Russian middle school program in the nation. Often, Russian programs have a large number of heritage learners. At Goddard however, 82% of the students are black or Hispanic. The interest in Russian is a bit unusual as French is the typically reported as the most popular choice of high school students.
