Tenure Track Faculty Position Available
Assistant Professor of German
The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN is seeking applications for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor of German.
Qualifications:
PhD. preferred, ABD considered (with initial appointment at rank of instructor) with specialization in the literatures, cultures and civilizations of the German-speaking world.
Native or near-native fluency in German is required.
3/3 teaching load.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
Willingness to teach at all levels of the program, including the language requirement sequence, is expected.
Other duties include: student advising, coordinating the German program, department and university service and involvement in study-abroad programs. Innovative approaches to teaching and demonstrated excellence in teaching, knowledge/use of technology in the classroom, and an established research history or potential are required.
