Job Description:
The Framingham State University English Department invites applications for a full-time temporary position to teach courses in journalism and first-year writing. This is a one-year position with possible renewal for a second year. Our journalism program features practical courses such as News Writing and Editorial Workshop, and requires students in the Journalism concentration or minor to complete at least one internship. Journalism faculty also advise the award-winning student newspaper, The Gatepost. The teaching load is 3/3 and includes one first-year writing course and two journalism courses every semester.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required qualifications include a terminal graduate degree in Journalism, English, Rhetoric and Composition, or a related field; at least two years of professional experience as a journalist; and at least one year of college-level teaching, including courses in first-year writing and journalism.
