Carson-Newman University invites applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of Linguistics and World Languages. The position is a full time, tenure track position to begin August, 2014.
Candidates for the position should have a PhD in Linguistics or related field, but ABD will be considered.

Candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Linguistics and German or Spanish will teach Introduction to Linguistics, Phonology, Syntax and a wide range of other linguistics classes in addition to a variety of language classes in German or Spanish. Applicants should be prepared to nurture and grow a young but vibrant linguistics major and will be able to influence curriculum development. The successful candidate will be the linguistics program director. Native or near-native proficiency in German or Spanish and English is required.
