The Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian, and African Languages invites applications for a nine-month fixed term position in Hebrew beginning August 16, 2014, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will have expertise and experience in teaching Hebrew and developing strong curriculum that incorporates language, literature and culture. Courses in global studies and interdisciplinary studies in the arts and humanities may be part of the teaching assignment.
Qualifications include undergraduate teaching experience in Hebrew. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred, but candidates with an MA or ABD will be considered. Ranks are determined as follows: Assistant Professor level when holding a Ph.D degree or the Instructor level when holding a Masters or ABD degree.
