The Department of German Studies in the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor with expertise in media, visual, and/or performance studies as well as the ability to work within the larger field of German Studies. Candidates with a focus on all time periods and aspects of German studies will be considered. Standard teaching load is two courses per semester, and will be at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Service commensurate with the position of Assistant Professor is expected. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and to developing a strong research program. PhD must be in hand by July 31, 2016.
