Position Summary
All university positions are contingent upon availability of funding. All offers of empoloyment, oral and written, are contingent on the universitys verification of credentials and other information required by federal law, state law, and NMSU policies/procedures, and may include the completion of a criminal history check.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of M.A. in hand by January 2015 in a field related to language and/or language pedagogy. Native/near-native proficiency in both German and Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
Previous teaching experience at college level is preferred. Ability to teach a diverse student population is a plus.
Special Requirements of the Position
Successful candidate will teach a split load of introductory to advanced courses in German and Portuguese languages and cultures at the undergraduate level, face to face and online as needed by the department.
