Hello all, I would like to share an excellent video I found about Mayan culture. This would be a really fun way to teach your students some culture of Latin America while enjoying a story. You can always do many different listening comprehension activities with your students afterward.

Hello everyone,
Today's Spanish story for children is Cinderella. You can have your students, even adults, watch the video and try to narrate it themselves, write the story in Spanish, or listen to the story while watching and then doing an activity at the end. Let me know if you can think of other ways to use these stories in the classroom!

Hello everyone,
A nice way to get younger learners interested in languages is with fairy tales and videos. I will start posting Spanish stories for children which you can use with adults as well.
Let's start with Little Red Ridding Hood. You can have your students watch the video and try to narrate it themselves, write the story in Spanish, or listen to the story while watching and then doing an activity at the end. Let me know if you can think of other ways to use these stories in the classroom!

Spanish: La Historia de Juan - Juanes

This is good song by Juanes you can use to practice the preterite tense in Spanish.

Y voy corriendo...
¿QuĆ© malo he hecho yo?

Authentic French resources from Bonjour de France
Posted by

Wednesday, February 13, 2013
Are you looking for authentic resources in French? Have a look at Bonjour de France. There are many great resources available here, including games, vocabulary development activities, listening and reading comprehension exercises, cultural readings... This is BdF's description of their site:
The resources are tagged according to the European Common Framework. For American teachers, the Framework designations roughly correspond to the ACTFL proficiency levels in this way:
A1, A2 = novice
B1, B2 = intermediate
C1, C2 = advanced
I encourage you to check out this great site - you are bound to find something of value to your classes that your students will enjoy and find engaging.

French Video: Les Trois Inventeurs

Hello everyone, Claudia here,
Here's a cute video you can use in your French classes. I'll post the script as well so you can write some questions for it. You can also ask students questions about what they see in the video, for instance, what inventions are made? or ask them to rewrite the ending. Enjoy!
A mort ! A mort ! Tous Ć l’Ć©chafaud ! A bas les inventeurs ! On en a assez des inventeurs ! A mort ! Allez ! A bas les inventeurs ! A mort ! Pendons-les ! A mort !

Hello all, I came across this fun French video and I thought you might like it. I think it would be a good icebreaker for your French class and it could also be useful for listening comprehension activities.
Try asking your students how many cups of coffee did the main character drink? and who or how many people offered him a cup of coffee? Enjoy!

Hello all, Claudia here,
I would like to share this translated version I found online of an animated film based on the classic children's picture book "The Gruffalo" written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Schefflerthe.
These would be a fun way to work on your students' listening comprehension. I will soon add some questions to go along with the story. Enjoy!
