The Department
of Modern Languages and Literatures at The Catholic University of
America in Washington, DC, invites applications for the position of a
Clinical Assistant Professor of German (non-tenure track) starting
August 2013. This is a one-year contract position with competitive
salary and benefits. Responsibilities include full-time teaching (4/4)
in our language and literature program, active participation in German
and departmental events, and some service on departmental committees.
Candidates will teach basic to advanced language courses as well as
literature and culture courses in German and English. Applicants must
have native or near-native fluency in German and Ph.D. in hand at time
of appointment. Areas of specialization open. A strong commitment to
language teaching and program building is a must. The ideal candidate
will bring enthusiasm and proven teaching excellence.
