Responsibilities:
Teaches
online foreign language course(s) and provides ongoing student support
to ensure a successful virtual classroom experience and course
completion. Follows course curriculum/pacing and provides instruction
and feedback appropriate to level and in accordance with recognized
standards and language learning pedagogy (e.g. ACTFL). Maintains virtual
classroom and reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred)
- Teacher’s Certificate/License in designated state(s)
- Additional state-mandated licensing requirements, if applicable
- Demonstrated fluency in target language(s) and a proficiency for teaching
- Knowledge and practical application of foreign language learning pedagogy
- Experience with online learning as a student or teacher (teaching experience preferred)
- Pass Modified Oral Proficiency Interview if not a native speaker of the language to be taught.

- Strong oral and written English skills to effectively communicate to a wide variety of audiences
- Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated classroom management skills
- Exemplary customer service, communication and interpersonal skills--Must be able to effectively tailor communication to different audiences: Student, Parent, Teacher/Administrator and Supervisor (Manager of Teacher Support)
- Passionate about teaching and learning as evident from student interactions and presentations—Must be able to motivate students
- Must be flexible and responsive to needs of organization
- Proactive in identify potential learning problems and providing/communicating solutions
- Ability to project a professional image
