German Immersion Preschool in Park Slope, Brooklyn seeks native German speaking Assistant Teachers.
KinderHaus Brooklyn is looking for native German speaking kindergarten teachers for its New York based Kindergarten. Individuals need to be have direct related experience teaching children aged 2-3 years specifically. To begin in September 2014 or earlier.
Role within an established German immersion kindergarten program — Individual would be responsible for following the curriculum for children in this age group. Includes creative and dramatic arts, cooking, song, movement etc. Would have significant autonomy within the class. Teacher/student ratio is approximately 1:6. Together with the lead teacher, the individual would be responsible for the classroom design, monthly calendar, materials inventory, creating themes and overall responsibility for the children in the classroom. Individual will also have direct contact with the parent community.
Qualifications: teaching related educational background; at least 2 years’ experience teaching 2-3 year olds; German fluency; working visa preferred.
