The Department of Germanic Studies at the University of Texas at Austin seeks applicants for a tenure track position specializing in post-1945 to contemporary German literature and culture to begin in Fall 2014.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, conduct research, publish actively, and provide service to the Department, College, and University. The ideal candidate will be able to fit into a department that emphasizes cultural studies and interdisciplinary research and teaching.(FRD:6235)
Applicants should have: PhD in hand by August 2014, native or near-native fluency in both German and English, evidence of teaching excellence at the college level, and evidence of research excellence.
