The School
The School of Education is the leading pre-service and in-service teacher education institution of excellence within the Pacific region. It upholds quality learning and teaching, and provides quality educational services as well as professional development programs. The School of Education is entering a new and exciting phase of development and is seeking experienced and dynamic individuals to join us.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, teach and conduct research and consultancies on Assessment and Evaluation and contribute to other education courses. You will also supervise postgraduate projects and thesis students. You will be expected to provide academic leadership in program evaluation, staff development training in various aspects of assessment at both school and institutional levels.

The appointment is at the Associate Professor /Senior Lecturer level. To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
Remuneration
The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range:
Senior Lecturer FJ $90 882 to FJ $104 865 per annum
Associate Professor FJ $111 229 to FJ $125 133 per annum
The University may pay an inducement allowance to secure the services of an exceptionally well qualified candidate.
In addition to the above benefits, the University contributes 10% of basic salary to an approved superannuation scheme, provides airfare and relocation costs where appropriate. Educational opportunities are also provided for the appointee's family to study at the University of the South Pacific at a substantial discount.

The Person We Seek

- A PhD qualification in Educational Assessment and Evaluation with strong evaluation skills;
- Extensive tertiary teaching experience and supervision of research students;
- A very good research and publications record;
- A strong quantitative research background.
- Formal tertiary teaching qualification or significant (normally 10 years) relevant tertiary teaching experience.
