Join a unique British University in China. The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China. This award winning campus offering a UK style education has grown to establish a student body of over 7,000 in just 12 years.
The post represents an exciting and unique opportunity for a candidate with the ability to deliver high quality language teaching from beginner to advanced levels in French for undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the further development of language teaching and learning resources, including e-learning and web-based provision, and to the administration of quality assurance procedures.
Candidates must have a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline and the ability to teach from beginner to advanced levels in French and to contribute to the development and expansion of the Language Centre. Effective communication and presentation skills in English and experience of teaching at degree level in an international institution are also required.
Salary will be within the range of RMB 228,874 – RMB 273,287 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance. In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments.
This post will be available from 1 September 2016 and will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 5 years. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
