Faculty Position in English Northern State University, Faculty of English
100% non-tenured, 12-month Instructor of the English as a Second Language Program
As an instructor of the English as a Second Language Program, assist in curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation; integrate community participation into the ESL curriculum; and research the latest approaches and trends in English language teaching and curriculum development/design.
Responsibilities:
Participating in NSU ESL curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation. Researching the latest approaches and trends in English language teaching and curriculum development/design.
Education:
Master's degree in TESOL or a related field from an accredited institution and five years of teaching experience are required. Prior experience teaching ESL students, adults, and/or refugees are preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Should be able to work with students, assess projects and program events, and track student progress.

Responsibilities:
- Teaching a maximum of 22 hours per week at Molded Fiber Glass
- Holding office hours at Molded Fiber Glass and Northern State University
- Developing curricular materials
- Creating and administering student assessments and evaluations
- Meeting with students and colleagues as needed
- Facilitating faculty/staff diversity training
- Participating in faculty and committee meetings
- Working with student assessment projects and program events
- Assisting with new student placement testing throughout the year
- Possessing the ability to work in and sensitivity to a cross-cultural environment
- Attending TESOL development/training conferences
