Nazarbayev University Foundation Year Program (NUFYP) is currently seeking qualified instructors in the areas of English (EAP), mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, and humanities. NUFYP is an integrated, foundation year that prepares students for study in Nazarbayev University's three undergraduate schools: School of Engineering, School of Science and Technology, and School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Students develop academic study skills and learn how to adapt to the expectations of an academic research community. All classes are taught in English, with the minimum IELTS English entry level for students set at 6.0 for the coming academic year. The NUFYP student body is anticipated to expand to nearly 750 students in the fall of 2016.
As a NUFYP Teaching Fellow, you will teach 500-600 hours per year. You will be part of a team responsible for the planning, delivery, evaluation, and assessment of your subject area under the supervision of a subject Coordinator and following the NUFYP curriculum.

Essential Qualifications
- Master's or equivalent in an appropriate subject area (e.g., ESL, applied linguistics, physics, etc.)
- Familiarity with teaching best practices
- Flexible with the ability to handle ambiguity and work in a developing program
- Effective communications and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to teach independently, but work as part of a team to deliver a unified curriculum
- Postgraduate teaching qualifications for the secondary/tertiary sector
- Experience working with international students at both the secondary and tertiary levels
- Awareness of the educational needs of Kazakh students in a pre-degree environment
- Experience working internationally in foundation programs
- Internationally competitive salary
