Klett-Langenscheidt has an opening for a Pedagogical Liaison to fill a maternity leave.  This is a full-time position in its Oak Park, IL location. While this position is expected to last for the duration of the maternity leave (January through April), the assignment may be extended. 

Qualifications:

-        Bachelor’s degree in German

-        Teaching experience at the high school and/or college level

-        Must be eligible to work in the United States.

-        Speak, read and write German with near-native fluency.

-        Excellent writing skills

-        Attention to detail

-        Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

-        Familiarity with Quick Books, Method or similar management systems

Responsibilities:

-        Build and maintain relationships with German instructors at a variety of institutions in the United States and Canada.

-        Guide and inform instructors about Klett-Langenscheidt textbook series and materials that are available at various levels of instruction.

-        Collaborate with the director and educational consultant to design clear, captivating and concise promotional materials and copy.

-        Edit and proofread all copy for content and accuracy.

-        Maintain and update the website

-        Translate and edit

-        Work closely with warehouse manager and office coordinator
